Police are searching for a man who stole a woman's necklace in broad daylight.

According to the NYPD, the robbery occurred on Friday, July 18 at 1 p.m., at the corner of Mermaid Avenue and West 31st Street in Brooklyn. The suspect approached a 54-year-old woman who was waiting at a bus stop. Video shows the man grabbing the necklace—and the victim falling to the ground.

The victim was treated for a laceration to the head. The suspect, who fled, is described as being in his 30s, 5'7", 160 pounds and last wearing a white shirt, dark shorts and white sneakers. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
