After the Jets' extremely unlikely and very lucky overtime win over arch-rival the New England Patriots, Gang Green supporters were elated. However, one man took his Jets Nation passion a little too far when he decked a woman—apparently a Patriots fan— in the face at Met Life Stadium. Watch this sad display:

The man who sent in the video, Rob, told Deadspin, "Fight started in the stands with two girls fighting. And moved out to where I shot the video. Beer was thrown and clothing over the balcony. Security went after the guy. Didn't see what happened after that."

Now, the puncher is definitely a Jets fan, wearing a #60 Wayne Chrebet jersey. The woman, who gets hit in the face after she charges after him, is wearing red-and-white shirt, which suggests she's a Patriots fan. The Pats' colors are red, white and blue; Daily News describes her as one and a Deadspin commenter wrote:

Yeah I saw two girls fighting as soon as the game ended they were stopped by several people then I took off. The girls in the video including the girl that got hit were patriot fans as they're wearing patriots colors, they sat in the row right in front of me. they were getting heckled a lot of the game by the drunk jets fans behind me and they were disrespecting them and were basically looking for a fight with the guys they were with. But the puncher was not one of the hecklers right behind me. The whole thing was shameful it's a football game and you don't hit a girl or call her a bitch which both happened to them.

A Jets spokesperson told the NY Post, "We are aware of the situation and we do not tolerate that behavior," adding that the state police are looking into the matter.

In 2009, a Yankees fan was convicted of murder for fatally running over a Red Sox fan at a New Hampshire bar in 2008.
