This video appears to show a resident of Manasquan, New Jersey, using a Jet Ski to navigate the flooded streets of the coastal town that has been subject to mandatory evacuations for Hurricane Sandy.
At 11:15 this morning Manasquan warned of "severe coastal flooding" and called Sandy an "extremely dangerous, life-threatening storm…if you are an evacuation area [sic], do not try and ride this one out…emergency services will be cut off from evacuation zones later today." New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who declared a state of emergency on Saturday, called holdouts to evacuation "both stupid and selfish," which is likely kinder than his words for someone who fired up their personal watercraft to take a tour of a neighborhood underwater.
