A stabbing on a Harlem street corner attracted a large crowd last night, with roughly 100 additional police officers responding to a tense scene that was captured on video by multiple bystanders.

According to an NYPD spokesman, 38-year-old Adela Leon stabbed an unidentified 34-year-old woman in the arm at around 10:15 p.m. on the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 124th Street.

In the video below at roughly the 5:55 mark, a large group of NYPD officers appear to wrestle a suspect to the ground. As the officers violently subdue the arrestee, the crowd loudly objects and glass can be heard shattering in the background.

The NYPD spokesman said no other arrests were made, but a male suspect appears to be detained in the video below taken from a nearby rooftop.

The victim of the stabbing was taken to Harlem Hospital with minor injuries. Leon was taken to Metropolitan Hospital with minor injuries. She is charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest.
