President Obama spent 15 minutes and thousands of words last night explaining his rational for "a targeted strike to achieve a clear objective" in Syria. This morning a 15-year-old girl, whose uncle died the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001, offered a brief, candid rebuttal at a memorial ceremony: "And to President Obama, please do not bring us to another war."

Of course, it's not that simple. A brutal Syrian dictator used chemicals to kill thousands of his people and then taunted the president on television, and remember the president did us all a favor by asking Congress to approve of the strike and then he burned so much political capital to get us on board for a military strike. It couldn't be as simple as just not shooting missiles over there, could it?
