The police are searching for a man and woman who were caught on camera running into an elderly woman's SUV and then stealing it during a dispute that ensued after the fender bender.
The incident occurred last week, on September 19th, around 2:27 p.m., near 109 Avenue and 120 Street in the Richmond Hill section of Queens. A 74-year-old woman was in her SUV when she was rear-ended by the driver of a white sedan. According to the NYPD, "When the victim tried to exchange information with the male driver he became aggressive and refused to let the victim write down his license plate. The second individual inside the suspect's car, a female, walked around to the driver's seat of the suspect car as the male individual shoved the victim aside and sat inside her car; both individuals then drove off eastbound on 109 Avenue."
Here's security camera footage that shows how this all unfolded:
The suspects are described as a male with a slim build who was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans and a female with black hair in a bun who was last seen wearing a light colored shirt and dark colored pants.
