Police are looking for the driver of a white sedan who drove up on the sidewalk in Astoria early Saturday morning and struck a pedestrian before fleeing the scene.
An NYPD release states that the driver mounted the curb at around 4 a.m. while heading westbound on 30th Avenue at 45th Street, striking a 21-year-old male. You can see the hit and run unfold in the graphic video below.
A police spokeswoman said the victim suffered a broken leg and a concussion. He is lucky to be alive.
