The police have released a disturbing video of a man attacking a woman with a beer bottle, in hopes that the public can help identify the suspect.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred in Washington Heights on Christmas Day: Just before 8 a.m., a 45-year-old woman was walking on the street when "she was grabbed from behind by the suspect. The victim attempted to run away, but was again attacked in front of 611 Edgecombe Avenue. The suspect struck the victim multiple times in the head with a beer bottle causing lacerations, swelling, and bruising to her head."
The victim was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and is currently in stable condition. The suspect is described as being around 40, 6'1" tall and 220 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair, and wearing black boots, black jacket, and black jeans.
