The police are looking for two suspects in connection with two robberies in Manhattan. Both incidents, which occurred on Tuesday, involved the suspects punching people in order to take their smartphones.
At around 1:30 a.m. on March 20, a 30-year-old man near West 10th and Hudson Street "was approached by the two suspects who punched him the face, removed his wallet and HTC cell phone and fled the scene." Police say the victim was taken to Roosevelt Hospital where he was treated and released.
Then, at 2:35 a.m., a 26-year-old man in front of 2 Pennsylvania Plaza"was approached by the two suspects who punched & kicked him an d then removed his iPhone." The victim in this case did not want medical help.
Police released video of the suspects in the subway after the West Village thefts. The suspects are described as being a black male around 30-35 years old while the other is a black male around 25-30 years old.
