Police say that a man tried to rob seven apartments in Brooklyn Heights and downtown Brooklyn last Friday morning—but in each case, he ran into an apartment occupant and fled. Here's video:

According to the NYPD, the suspect entered five apartments at 75 Henry Street between 4:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Friday, October 5, but was apparently thwarted by residents, so he left. Then, between 6:25 a.m. and 6:35 a.m., he entered two apartments at 75 Livingston Street, where he again encountered residents and then fled.

Police released video from 75 Livingston's elevator and lobby and describe the suspect, who is wanted for attempted robbery, as a black male, between 20 and 30 years old. Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
