Some may remember this month's West Indian-American Day Carnival for the gunfire, others for the delicious food and festive costumes. After watching this video, we'll probably associate it with cops grinding and bumping up against scantily-clad revelers' backsides. Don't miss the 1:06 minute mark, when an eager young police officer really gets down with the "daggering":

We learned all about daggering from the TV program Parks and Recreation, when John-Ralphio explains what it's all about (30 seconds in). The NYPD has not responded to a request for comment about whether this behavior (particularly the action at 1:06) violates any departmental guidelines, but videos can be deceiving. What some people may interpret as "daggering" is probably just "snuggling"—and though you can't hear it, the officer is sweetly singing Bon Jovi during the perfectly innocent encounter.
