An attempted robbery ended in a wild car crash on a busy street in Brighton Beach yesterday. Shortly after noon, police say that the victim, a 23-year-old man, was deceived into giving Ahmed Hassan $50 while Hassan's car idled on Brighton Beach Avenue near Ocean Parkway. According to the NYPD, Hassan tried to leave, and the victim jumped into Hassan's car to stop him. The two continue to fight as Hassan's car peels out, jumping the median, sideswiping one car and crashing into another.
A video posted on LiveLeak shows Hassan and the victim fighting on the street immediately after the crash.
The victim was transported to Coney Island hospital with minor injuries. Hassan, 22, was charged with robbery. No other injuries were reported.
