A burly shop teacher at a Brooklyn high school is seen on video thrashing a 116-pound freshman after the student allegedly tried to push past a security checkpoint. "I was fearing for my life," 15-year-old Kristof John tells the Daily News. "I was surprised he hit me. I didn't have time to think."

The teacher, 39-year-old Stephan Hudson, has been working in the school system since 1990 and makes $95,202 at George Westinghouse High. The school's principal claims that Hudson was disciplined, but John's mother doesn't think that's enough, given that the school tried to downplay the incident.

"They lied to me!" Dian John says. "No one wants to see their son taken advantage of and beaten like this." She initially dismissed his account of what happened until “He said, but mom, you haven’t seen the video." John says her son suffered back pain for two days after the incident, and has since moved back to his native Grenada. "That man should be gone," John says of Hudson.

She's also appealed to Grenada's consul general, because, seriously, what else does he have to do? “We are going to look into this and see what we can do as a community to make sure that this does not happen to any child,” says diplomat Derrick James.
