A 72-year-old woman is in critical but stable condition after the driver of a DirecTV van struck her in a crosswalk in East New York this morning. Surveillance footage obtained by the Daily News shows Maude Savage crossing Sutter Avenue at Euclid Avenue around 10:30 a.m. when the van makes a left on Euclid, knocking Savage to the ground.

Savage was taken to Brookdale Hospital, while the driver of the van, 24-year-old Robert Brown, remained on the scene. Brown was charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
