A faux pas involving a stroller-pushing white guy and a jogging white guy erupted into privilege warfare in Downtown Brooklyn this week. As the unhinged jogger put it: "The only reason white people like you are living here is because I settled this fucking neighborhood for you!" That is what we in the biz call the money shot.
Considering the magnitude of the jogger's rage, you'd think the stroller-pusher messed up his brand new white Air Jordans on the hottest day of the year. But despite promising to kill the stroller-pusher with one punch (you know, he DOES fight for a living) in front of (what appears to be) a security guard, no white people are physically harmed during the filming of the video.
But their emotions are another story.
"White privilege! White fucking privilege! You pushed your stroller right into me, and all I say was 'excuse you,' and then you said, 'fuck you fuck you!' You fucking white trash!"
Really, this video so perfectly encapsulates the state of downtown Brooklyn 2015 that it's probably staged. Stay tuned for our update that this is all viral marketing for Bugaboo.
(Side note: what kind of a job could the jogger have that he fights for a living? Artisanal bouncer? Bill O'Reilly's personal guard? Road House employee with a degree from Princeton?) If you know this man, please shoot us an email.
