Times Square has been partially shut down due to an ongoing situation with a possible jumper. According to FDNY, they were first alerted to the person, believed to be sitting on top of the AMC Empire movie theater on 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenue, just before 3 p.m. Thursday. They are still standing by at the scene as negotiators talk to the person.
