[Update below] Police are searching for a driver who ran over and dragged a woman in Staten Island, then fled the scene, leaving her lying injured in the street. Surveillance footage shared by the NYPD shows the driver of a black Honda Accord roll over and then drag a woman under the car, before driving off and leaving her there. Warning: the video is graphic.
According to the NYPD, the hit-and-run happened on July 14th at just after 8 a.m. on Woodlawn Avenue and Clove Road. The victim, a 62-year-old woman, was crossing Clove Road when the driver of the black Honda Accord struck her and dragged her, before they fled south on Hylan Boulevard.
The woman was taken to Staten Island University Hospital, where she was listed in serious but stable condition.

[Update , August 3rd 2:20 p.m.] The NYPD said that they've made an arrest in the hit-and-run, collaring 22-year-old Beatrice Tchoungoua of Staten Island. Tchoungoua has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license and failure to yield.
