A number of people were injured when a car they were traveling in apparently flipped over and plunged into a marsh in Queens, near JFK Airport.

According to WCBS 2, "The car was traveling on a narrow, curvy road off of Rockaway Blvd. near a runway at John F. Kennedy International Airport when it went off the road. Brookville Blvd. is commonly known as Snake Road for its dangerous curves."

Six people were in the Ford Focus, but only four were found. Many divers were on the scene, recovering the passengers. Police believe the remaining two fled the scene.

The marsh area is the Idlewild Park. Others have died and been injured on this stretch of road, prompting politicians to demand that the road be widened.
