[Update Below] A woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend, and a man was stabbed in the stomach in the Union Square subway station in separate incidents in Manhattan this weekend.

Police say the woman, whose identity has not been released, was found lying in the street with multiple stab wounds in front of West 162nd Street near St. Nicholas Avenue in Washington Heights just before 3 a.m. Sunday. She was taken to Harlem Hospital, where she was declared dead.

According to the Post, cops found a man, believed to be her ex, standing over her body yelling incoherently. He was arrested and taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. It's unclear whether he's been charged yet.

The other incident happened Saturday afternoon, when a man was stabbed while fighting with a group of people on the southbound N/Q/R platform at Union Square around 6:30 p.m. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Police have no other information about the incident, but CBS reports that witnesses say "the attack appears to have involved a group of kids."

Update: People Magazine and the Post are now reporting that the victim in the Washington Heights stabbing was 33-year-old E'Dena Hines, the step-granddaughter of actor Morgan Freeman.

"The world will never know her artistry in talent, and how much she had to offer. Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person," Freeman said in the statement. "Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace."
