[UPDATE BELOW] A 52-year-old Brooklyn man is currently in police custody following a horrifying early morning triple stabbing in a Bay Ridge apartment. Cops responding to a 911 call at 2:20 a.m. regarding an assault at 101 Marine Avenue arrived to discover a 46-year-old woman with a stab wound to the neck. EMS responding to the scene declared her DOA.
A 14-year-old boy inside the home was also bleeding from a stab wound to the right forearm, while the unidentified 52-year-old man had a stab wound to the stomach. Both were transported to Lutheran Medical Center and are both listed in stable condition.
The NYPD press office would not disclose any further details about the incident, but a police source tells the Daily News that the teenager was stabbed while trying to protect his mother, and the 52-year-old's stomach wounds were self-inflicted. Sources tell the News and the Post that the deceased woman was the man's wife. At this point the NYPD will only confirm that the investigation "is ongoing," but we'll update with more information as it becomes available.
