Two men in their 30s were killed early this morning after their car flipped over a guardrail on the Long Island Expressway.

Authorities say the unidentified driver, 30, and passenger, 31, were traveling westbound on the LIE in a 2004 Subaru Impreza at around 12:37 a.m. last night when they attempted to get off the expressway near the Grand Central Parkway at exit 22A.

Cops say the driver was unable to navigate the turn, and the car crashed through a guardrail. It then struck a metal overpass stantion; the Daily News has photos showing the extent of the damage to the car.

Both victims were transported to Elmhurst Hospital with significant body trauma and declared dead. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
