The NYPD is currently investigating the deaths of two infants in separate incidents in Manhattan and Brooklyn yesterday, though they say foul play is not suspected in either case.

First, at around 7:30 a.m., 5-month-old Mason Berrietos was discovered unconscious and unresponsive in his home at 720 West 180th Street in Inwood. The Daily News reports that he was bleeding from his mouth, and it is believed he may have fallen off his bed. He was transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and pronounced dead.

At 7:31 a.m., two-week old Rivka Ruvinov was found unconscious and unresponsive in her home at 674 East 7th Street in Kensington, Brooklyn. She was taken to Maimonides Medical Center and pronounced dead; the medical examiner's office is currently determining her cause of death.
