Two men remain in critical condition after being attacked by a group of men with a hammer in Harlem early this morning.

According to police, the victims, one 31 and the other 24 years old, were both bludgeoned in the head with a hammer as part of an attack by half a dozen men outside of 1370 5th Avenue around 12:42 a.m. Both were transported to St. Luke's Hospital in serious but stable condition. It's unknown whether the two victims were acquainted with one another, nor whether either was familiar with the assailants. No arrests have been made.

The attack comes just two days after the arrest of 44-year-old Clifford Price, who is accused assaulting musician Dru Barnes with hammer in Bed-Stuy on July 11, severing his optic nerve and causing the loss of his eye.
