Four people, including two police officers, suffered minor injuries in a grisly-looking car crash yesterday in Brownsville. The Post reports that a female driver in a Mercedes was driving east on Atlantic Avenue yesterday afternoon ran a red light at the intersection of Rockaway Avenue and struck a southbound BMW, which then flipped into the parked NYPD cruiser carrying two officers. Based on the photos of the scene of the crash, it's amazing that no one was seriously injured.

The female driver and the male BMW driver were treated for minor injuries at Kings County Hospital. An NYPD spokeswoman said that the two officers suffered minor injuries, but could not confirm that either driver was charged with a crime or issued a summons. We'll update if we hear of any charges.

A recent analysis of the city's traffic data showed that Brooklyn drivers kill more people than drivers in any other borough, and 88% of them break the 30 mph speed limit.
