One of the many barbs Hillary Clinton threw at Donald Trump last night regarded Alicia Machado, a former Miss Universe winner whom Trump called "Miss Piggy" (because she didn't fit his beauty standards) and "Miss Housekeeping" (because she is Latina). Never one to back down on misogyny, today Trump went on Fox & Friends and called Machado "the worst" Miss Universe the pageant ever had, declaring: "She gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem." But don't worry, Trump's a feminist!

Machado, who's been campaigning for Clinton and hails from Venezuela, won Miss Universe in 1996, when she was only 19-years-old. In May, she told Inside Edition that when she gained around 15 pounds a few months after winning the pageant, around the time Trump went on Howard Stern's radio show where he called her "an eating machine." He claimed she went from 118 pounds to 160 or 170, and described her as "somebody that likes to eat." Machado says he called her "Miss Piggy" after this, and she became depressed and battled eating disorders for years. "For sure he is not a good person," she told Inside Edition.

Machado, who went on to pose for Playboy and star in telenovelas, is now a U.S. citizen. She spoke out about Trump in June, saying: "He is a danger to this beautiful country, which I love, and feel an obligation to protect from men like Donald Trump on behalf of my daughter, on behalf of women, mothers, Latinas like me. He is a threat to democracy."

Machado was brought up at last night's debate when Clinton reminded the public that Trump has a history of making disparaging remarks against women. "One of the worst things he said was about a woman in a beauty contest," Clinton said. "He loves beauty contests, supporting them and hanging around them. And he called this woman ‘Miss Piggy.’ Then he called her ‘Miss Housekeeping'... Donald, she has a name: Her name is Alicia Machado. She has become a U.S. citizen, and you can bet she’s going to vote this November.”

His response was weakly repeating the question: “Where did you find this? Where did you find this?”
