So much for the shaming tactic: Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman, Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann have now ALL dropped out of Donald Trump's Very Classy GOP Presidential Primary Debate. Facing the prospect of a mano-a-mano slugfest between Newt "Tiffany Historian" Gingrich and Rick "Please Don't Google My Name" Santorum, even Donald Trump himself is now looking for ways to get out of this debate!

Trump conceded today on Fox Business News that the GOP presidential debate that he was planning to moderate in Des Moines on Dec. 27th may have to be scrapped now that almost everyone has dropped out. But if it is cancelled, it's not because of all the criticisms that Trump's participation conjures up an "unwanted circus-like atmosphere"—it would be because the other GOP candidates are all COWARDS. And what are they scared of? Trump running as an independent, of course.

“It is very important to me that the right Republican candidate be chosen to defeat the failed and very destructive Obama administration,’’ he wrote in a press release. “But if that Republican, in my opinion, is not the right candidate, I am unwilling to give up my right to run as an Independent candidate.” He claimed that several GOP candidates told him they’d only do the debate if Trump vowed to not launch a late bid for the White House, which Trump refused: “I must leave all of my options open because, above all else, we must make America great again!”

Trump was even more unmoored from reality in an interview with TMZ, in which he further bashed the candidates who refused to kiss his ring as uncourageous...with one major exception: “The thing is...the Republicans are afraid of me running as an Independent. They’re all afraid. The only person NOT afraid is Newt." Aww, he forgot about Santorum, who spent all week defending Trump and his debate. Let's hope Santorum doesn't have a temper tantrum.
