2008_10_trick31.jpgTerrible trick: Police say that three men, wearing Halloween costumes, robbed a Merrick home. When the owner, whose wife and child were not home, opened the door, the robbers made their way in and struck him on the head. A police officer said, "As he opened his door, he saw he was about to be rushed, and he is rushed by Superman and two people who were following him." One of the robbers also showed a gun. The three men took cash and "went through other belongings", and then tied up the owner before leaving. The owner, who had a minor laceration to the hand according to WABC 7, managed to free himself and go to a neighbor for help. Nassau police are asking for people with information to call 1-800-244-TIPS.
