The Daily Show has been struggling to be, say, funny and relevant since Jon Stewart stepped down last year. But last night Trevor Noah did good, going after alleged journalist Matt Lauer's miserable performance at NBC's Commander-and-Chief Forum earlier this week. Lauer, as Noah pointed out, "reduced [Clinton's interview] to a speed date," repeatedly interrupting her as he grilled her about her stupid email server, then "let Trump get away with blatant lies."
"I would love to date Matt Lauer," Noah said. "Getting busted would be impossible, it would be like 'Who's Thrusty Lisa?' 'Uh, my mom?' 'Okay, let's move on.'" He did, however, point out that Lauer's excellent at reducing members of One Direction to pulp:
Matt Lauer, you don't deserve this puppy.
