Today being a very hot Saturday in August there really isn't that much new news in the city, so it should come as no surprise that besides the Post all of today's papers lead with the newly released 9/11 transcripts.
There's some really emotional stuff in there and each paper tackles the transcripts differently. The Times gives the excerpts a two-page spread with a few quotes and many reactions while Newsday put out a 36-page wrap-around with many more quotes and dozens of pictures that you probably remember well enough. The Post and the News meanwhile provide coverage somewhere in the middle. Gothamist found ourselves choking up while reading the transcripts so we're not going to go into them here, but we do recommend you give them a look.
