The Jets and Patriots are bitter divisional rivals, and it's no stretch to say that their fans are as well. A Jets fan even tried to sue the Patriots on behalf of ALL Jets fans for cheating. So when Tom Brady was asked yesterday on the radio whether he had seen the Jets' HBO show, "Hard Knocks," his response should come as no shock: “Honestly, I haven’t turned it on. I hate the Jets, so I refuse to support that show.”

Brady was being interviewed on WEEI radio in Boston when the Jets came up: “I’m sure it’s great TV. I’m glad people are liking it, but that’s just something that I have no interest in watching...I’d love to say a lot of mean things, but I’d rather not do that, either.” (You can listen to the whole interview below; skip to 13:15 to hear the comments about the Jets.)

Jets Coach Rex Ryan responded: "Hell, he knows we hate the Patriots, so what's the difference? That's great. Hey, join the club." He also discussed his brother, who is an assistant coach for the Patriots: "My brother's got a couple of Super Bowl rings. He loves Tom Brady, but I don't have them, so I don't like Tom Brady. I respect him, but I don't like him." Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery added, "Tom has always hated the Jets. We've pulled up clips a long time ago, even before Rex got here, with Tom saying things at banquets and all that. He's always hated the Jets, so I expected to hear that from him." The Jets and Patriots will meet in the second week of the season.
