Fair warning to celebrity scoundrels: Despite your insistence that your relationships are a private matter and have nothing to do with your work, you are a public figure, and are therefore vulnerable to mass scrutiny over your every mistake (hello, Mel!). Some may make comebacks on the scale of the 2004 Red Sox, but others will probably end up like Tiki Barber, the former Giants star, who left his eight-months pregnant wife for a 23-year-old former intern earlier this year. Now, to complete the circle of backlash-ery, cycling fitness chain Flywheel Sports is filing a $1 million lawsuit against him, alleging that his scandal enraged their "core clientele," and rendered him "worthless overnight" as their celebrity spokesman. Well, Tiki, at least you're not quippy rape suspect.
