Three men were killed after fire tore through an abandoned Queens house last night. A neighbor told WCBS 2, "My son said, ‘something smells like it’s burning.’ Then we looked out the window and saw fire, and then all the fire trucks started coming."

Authorities learned of the fire just before midnight. The home on Farmers Boulevard, near Jordan Avenue in St. Albans, was apparently vacant, and after the FDNY put out the fire, they found three adult men unconscious and unresponsive inside -- two on the second floor and one on the first floor. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Another neighbor who spoke to WCBS 2 said, "If they’re hanging out, they’re probably a regular in this area. I guess maybe because the weather is cold, they might’ve went inside the house… They don’t’ want to go to a shelter or whatever. They chose an abandoned home."

More than 100 firefighters responded, and four firefighters suffered minor injuries while putting out the blaze, including one who fell through a collapsed floor.
