Earlier this morning, a fire broke out in an apartment building in the Soundview section of the Bronx, killing three people. According to WCBS 2, the victims were a "man and woman in their 60s and a teenager."

The fire started before 6 a.m. on the Beach Avenue building's second and third floors. The Post reports, "In total, 33 units and 140 firefighters responded to the fire that spread to the house next door, fire officials said." Fire officials also think the fire was suspicious.

Other tenants were taken to the hospital for injuries. The fire was under control by 8:40 a.m.
