Today's entry comes from the intersection of Tillary and Jay Streets in downtown Brooklyn, where this photo of a traffic cop ticketing a Citi Bike rider has all the things.

Cyclist in newsboy cap? Check. Prototypical NYPD officer focusing all his powers of concentration on filling out a summons? Check. Brooklyn? Check. The only thing really missing is a cab driver speeding by on the sidewalk. As Brooklyn Spoke asserts, "illegal u-turns are rampant on Jay Street, but the 84th Precinct has written just 22 tickets for it all year." Why bother cracking down on reckless drivers when pulling over cyclists is so much easier? If only the summonses came pre-written...
