Though riding a motorcycle anywhere in Manhattan sounds like a thrilling way to donate your organs to science, the modern world has made it possible to live out that experience that without having to face one's mortality. One motorcyclist was kind enough to film his rush hour ride from Staten Island to Midtown Manhattan, all set to the dulcet tones of the Black Keys. Behold:

The commute is quite an undertaking, at least for the car-bound—our brave rider was able to compress the ride down to a 3-minute video, but it's at least a 45-minute commute without traffic, though obviously the motorcyclist had an edge when it came to weaving between cars like he's just playing an arcade game with a big roll of quarters in his pocket.

The subway seems safer, even if it doesn't work sometimes.
