Clement Hunter, the genius who ran a red light with 513 pounds of marijuana in the back of his Dodge Caravan, has now been charged with 50 counts of felony possession of marijuana in the first degree. Hunter caught the attention of police when he ran a red light and made a right turn on Farmers Boulevard without signaling around 4 a.m. on Sunday, and then failed to pull over when police signaled him. They eventually caught him at a dead end, where he hopped out of the car and attempted to flee on foot.
A suspect has to be caught with 10 pounds or more of marijuana to be charged with possession in the first degree, and Hunter was also charged with reckless endangerment, fleeing officers in a motor vehicle, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of stolen property. (He was driving a rental car registered to someone else.) Hunter has had previous arrests for possession of large amounts of marijuana and gun possession. It's still unclear just where he was going with all that pot, but considering the festive wrapping we're guessing it was a kickass holiday party. Or rather it was supposed to be until the Man harshed the vibe.
