Things Are Getting Weird On The 5, A, D, F, G, J, M, N & R Trains This Weekend

The good news is, the unbearable chill that I'm 70 percent sure has given me pneumonia won't extend into the weekend, though we can all look forward to it popping back up again over the next couple of months. WINTER, WHAT FUN. The bad news is, there are a bunch of subway changes this weekend, so you might have to, you know, walk. Bring an umbrella. Or a baby!

Here's what's on tap this week:

5 trains will not run between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St in either direction, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday.

All A trains are suspended between Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd and Rockaway Blvd from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound D trains will run express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 36 St from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday. On the Norwood-205 St bound track, trains will skip 170 St, 174-175 Sts, and 182-183 Sts from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica-179 St bound F trains will reroute along the E line between 47-50 Sts and Roosevelt Av, with that change in effect from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Also during that period, trains on that track will run express from Church Av to Smith-9 Sts.

Court Square-bound G trains will run express from Church Av to Smith-9 Sts, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday.

Broad St-bound J trains will run express from Myrtle Av to Marcy Av, starting at 3:45 a.m. Saturday and ending at 10 p.m. Sunday.

M trains will run every 20 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. During that period, Delancey St-Essex St bound trains will run express from Myrtle Av to Marcy Av.

All N trains will reroute along the Q line from Canal St to DeKalb Avenue from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. On the Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound track, trains will make express stops between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and 59 St.

No R trains will run between Whitehall St and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr., with that change in effect from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 11;45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. Also during that period, all trains will make express stops between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and 36 St, and Bay Ridge-bound trains skip 45 St and 53 St. Trains will reroute along the Q line between Canal St and DeKalb Av from 6:30 a.m. to midnight on Saturday and Sunday—Bay Ridge-bound trains will skip DeKalb Ave and make express stops from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 59 St during that period, and service will operate to and from the Jamaica-179 St F station.
