Yesterday, Colin Powell addressed the U.N. Slate feels that he did produce the smoking gun, yet the Times didn't. The Wall Street Journal called his case forceful, and the Washington Post called the release of intelligence unprecedented. There has also been much talk that he wasn't as eloquent as Adlai Stevenson who spoke to the U.N. about Cuban Missile Crisis. The film, Thirteen Days, about the Kennedy administration dealing with Russia, Cuba, and America during that time is a pretty riveting piece of film. Hopefully, this situation will turn out as relatively peacefully.
