Living across the river in New Jersey can be an idyllic alternative to the Big City rat race—they've got a Barcade in Jersey City, a world class arena where some of the top recording artists (Fall Out Boy!) perform, and views of the Manhattan skyline that almost rival the view from Brooklyn and Queens. But days like today are a reminder that just because you're no longer living at the mercy at the MTA, that doesn't mean you've escaped mass transit HELL. Seems this morning's PATH commute into Manhattan was a complete shitshow:

Apparently Monday's commute was also the pits.

Jeez, more like the WRATH train, amirite? Today's extreme overcrowding and infuriating delays were attributed to signal problems at Journal Square. As of 9:30, the delays are expected to continue until morale improves.

We asked the Port Authority of NY & NJ, which operates the PATH, for more information on the problem and we'll update as we find out more. But if it makes you feel any better, there were delays on the 7 train during this morning's rush hour due to an injured passenger.
