The L train preview shutdown might be the sexy transit repair news, but FASTRACK repairs are still around too, and they're coming to the J train stops in lower Manhattan in the first two weeks in May.

The MTA announced in a press release that every J station between Broad Street and Delancey Street will be closed for repair work between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. from May 1 to May 5, and then from May 8 to May 12. The J will otherwise run normally between Delancey Street and Jamaica Center.

While the lower Manhattan stations are closed for an "extensive list of maintenance, cleaning and repair assignments" per the MTA, the transit authority suggests taking the F from Delancey to the 4 and 6 trains at Bleecker Street/Broadway-Lafayette. Or, you can take the A and E trains to and from lower Manhattan, though the A doesn't connect with an open J station until Broadway Junction and the E doesn't connect with the J until Sutphin Boulevard.

And, just so you're ready for it, the MTA announced that the next FASTRACK closures will come to the G train between Court Square and Bedford Avenue, on weekday late nights from June 5 to 9 and June 12 to 16.
