Lest you be lulled by the 48 hour lack of midtown bee news, bees are continuing their Midtown takeover—after first making a home on a bicycle, and then a traffic light, they are now attempting to devour scaffolding on 54th and Broadway.
The NYPD's Bee Unit tweeted the below photo this afternoon:

They appear to be in the process of capturing the bees, as evidenced by their Periscope, although the bees were still swarming as of 3 p.m.
Two renowned beekeepers, Andrew Cote and former NYPD bee wrangler Tony "Bees" Planakis, told us this week that they suspect all the Midtown swarms are coming from an untended nearby urban hive that has since become overwhelmed. Cote estimated that as many as 10,000 bees participated in Wednesday's swarm, which was also at 54th and Broadway, and as many as 30,000 congregated on a bicycle handle on Tuesday—today's swarm, however, seems much smaller.

, but for now, Midtown workers, bee careful (Fridays are for bad puns)! [Ed.: No.]
