The NYPD has arrested two teenagers suspected of attempting to abduct young girls in Queens this week.
Joshua Wright, 17, and Andrew Ghulam, 16, both Queens residents, were arrested last night and charged with attempted unlawful imprisonment. According to authorities, Wright and Ghulam attempted to abduct a total of four girls, aged 10 to 11, in two separate incidents in Queens Village on Wednesday afternoon.
Cops say the teenagers followed the girls in a green SUV Jeep Cherokee as they walked home from school. They allegedly possessed a firearm, and one of the teenagers is accused of getting out of the SUV and trying to approach the girls while donning a mask.
In addition to attempted unlawful imprisonment, the suspects face child endangerment, harassment and criminal weapon possession charges.
