Sometimes a national story is so important, so compelling, that we feel a responsibility to bring it as much attention as it deserves. And the legal battle now swirling around the wrestling move known as a "butt drag" is just such a weighty story. A "butt drag" is a wrestling move the Times eloquently says "involves grabbing the haunch of an opponent to gain leverage." You can see video of the move here. The Times reports on a 17-year-old Californian wrestler who has been accused of using the move to sexually assault a younger teammate, and the potential repercussions on the sport. As far as we're concerned, grabbing someone else's butt in a non-sexual way is totally normal, and anyone who tries to use it for perversion is just sick.
