The parents of an East Flatbush teenager who was fatally shot in June are begging for help finding their son's murderer—and they think a high school classmate had something to do with it. The family of Brent Duncan believe their son was killed when a pregnant schoolmate, who Duncan teased more than a year ago, got her gang members brothers to retaliate.

Duncan, 18, who had just finished his first year at Borough of Manhattan Community College, was shot on the corners of Foster and Schenectady Aves. after leaving a birthday party barbecue on June 19. Despite there being many witnesses in the area, no one has come forward to identify the murderers, and the family fears the case may go cold soon. “Close to 100 people out here when these kids, from across there, the garage, shot at my son here, and nobody wants to say anything?said the victim's father, Peter Duncan, 39.

The family is offering an $8,000 reward for any information leading to a conviction. There have been 59 people shot in East Flatbush's 67th Precinct, an increase in shootings from this time last year.
