Even though a surveillance camera appeared to film him stealing a 12-pound turkey breast in his pants, Deon Williams denied the tryptophan-tinged theft, telling the Post, "I didn't do it. OK, I stole a cold-cut sandwich because I was hungry, but I put everything [else] back."
A few weeks ago, Williams, 19, was arrested after allegedly stealing a Boars Head turkey breast from a Bedford-Stuyvesant's grocery deli counter and putting it in his pants. When a butcher followed him out of the store, demanding the turkey back, Williams took the turkey out—and then allegedly punched the butcher.
Williams turned down a plea deal which would have required him to do 6 months in lockup. Oh, and the turkey breast was put back for sale.
