A 17-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly killing a 23-year-old Columbia University graduate in a popular tourist spot in Panama earlier this year.

Catherine Johannet, a native of Edgemont, NY, was found dead in the woods near the beach on Isla Bastimentos, located off the northern coast of Panama, in February. Authorities believed someone strangled her using her pink beach wrap, and the Panamanian Public Ministry announced on Tuesday they found her suspected killer, though no information has been released about him other than his age and that he is a native of the island.

Johannet graduated from Edgemont High School in 2011 and Columbia University in 2015.
