The Yankees' new rally technique might be to turn their jerseys inside-out, as a show of solidarity with one young fan who was forced to do so by his Red Sox-loving fourth grade teacher. Nine-year-old Nathan Johns says he was asked to step outside his upstate classroom and turn his CC Sabathia shirt-inside out by Peter (Mister) Addabbo. The teacher apparently keeps Red Sox paraphernalia on display all over the classroom, the real evil empire. Johns told reporters in what we can only imagine was his most adorable voice, "I thought to myself, 'Is he serious or is he kidding?' But he had this look like he wasn't kidding at all.' It was such a horrible day I don’t ever want anything like to happen again.”

The parents of young Nathan are not amused at all and have gotten the school district up near Syracuse to investigate the incident. The Johns tell a local paper that they feel Nathan's First Amendment rights were violated by Addabbo. His father added, "The school preaches all about not allowing bullying, and this really felt like he was being bullied.”

If the district takes action against him, Mr. Addabbo wouldn't be the first Boston fan to find himself in hot water over a shirt joke that wasn't taken so lightly. Last year a construction worker almost faced criminal charges when he snuck a David Ortiz jersey underneath the new Yankee Stadium. Meanwhile last night the Yankees kept rolling past the Sox with another late season win over their AL East rivals.
