Around 4:29 a.m. this morning, a taxi hit a pedestrian at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue in Manhattan. The FDNY tells us the victim, a 40-year-old male, was taken to Bellevue Hospital in "likely" (to die) condition.

The area, which is very busy, with the Lincoln Tunnel, Port Authority and Times Square nearby, was shut down for a while and MyFoxNY reports, "It is unclear what happened but the taxi had a broken windshield after the incident and pizza boxes were scattered in the street."
