There were heavy delays on the 7 train during this morning's rush hour, turning a messy winter weather commute into an impassable trail of frozen tears:

An MTA spokesperson tells us a burning third rail insulator at the 5th Avenue - Bryant Park station brought service to a halt on the southbound 7 track this morning. 7 train service was suspended from about 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., with residual delays following that. Please be patient.
And thus, after days and days of service disruptions due to New York's Little Ice Age, today was finally the East River Ferry's TIME TO SHINE.
