Police say they've arrested the man who groped a woman in Sunset Park Monday night, but it's unclear if the man is responsible for any of the other sexual assaults that have terrorized parts of Brooklyn over the past several months. Adolfo Martinez, 26, faces charges of sex abuse in the 3rd degree, CBS 2 reports. Martinez allegedly sneaked up behind his 18-year-old victim as she left a subway station at 36th Street and Fifth Avenue around 8 p.m., groped her buttocks, and ran away.

101211sketch.jpgWhen the incident first made news, police sources said the perpetrator was probably not responsible for any of the other high-profile assaults, in part because he was older than the man other victims have described. But several women who have been victims of similar assaults were called in to view Martinez in lineups last night and today, the Daily News reports. In addition to Martinez, Federico Chamorro Yax, 22, was arrested last week and accused him of involvement in two sexual assaults.

Yesterday police also released two more sketches of suspects. The one seen here is based on the description given by the victim of an attack Sunday night in Windsor Terrace. In that incident, a 20-year-old woman fought off a rapist outside her mother's apartment around midnight. And yesterday police arrested Jason Harris, 19, and charged him with sexually assaulting a woman near Columbia University on Sunday. Harris allegedly exposed himself to the woman, "before forcing her to engage in a sex act and running off," NY1 reports.
